When I Look Outside

When I look outside the window,

I know more than just trees, grass and dirt.

When I look up at the sky,

I know more than just clouds and birds.

When I look into the forest,

I know more than just deer, squirrels and rabbits.

Outside the window,

I see the leftovers of man, not nature.

I see trash, ugly cans and bags.

Up in the sky,

It slowly becomes more grey everyday.

Pollution and filth is replacing the clean air we breathe.

Into the forest,

what little bit of wildlife we have left,

poachers are killing important animals,

destroying important habitats.

People must take action

to reverse the harmful damage of man.

The only ones who can save our planet,

are sadly the ones destroying it.

When I look into myself

I know there is passion for this Earth.

One job, as an environmentalist may change my life,

and even improve the world.
