When I Look at You

When I look at you

I see different shades of blue

It's on your backpack

On your shirt

The color of your eyes.

When I look at you

I see a best friend

Someone I could joke around with,

Binge watch Netflix with

Dress up like superheroes with.

When I look at you

I see someone I could grow to love

Someone I picture marrying

Someone I picture a future with.

When I look at you

I notice all of your imperfections

But I don't care because to me,

You are perfect,

You are my everything

But you don't know that.

As far as you know,

We're just friends.
