When I need to cry

On the dull days, the quiet days, days of reflection; days I need to see;

I see ants being stepped on by a cruel kid.  Who is hurting you?

I see people tying their dogs outside during a snow storm.  Where did you learn that?

I see trash being littered near a “Recycle” sign.  What do you want to prove?

I see mindless gossiping over the loose girl over there; do you even know her?

I see young, brilliant minds smoking and drinking near a school.  Are you that exceptional?

            Yes –This I see all the time; I don’t look very far or hard.  It’s like you want to be seen.

I see entertainment, pro athletes, and that show last night matter more than education.

What were our morals again?

I see money, partying, and sex be the new fads over humility, wisdom, and honesty.

That’s the name of the game.

I see that he is telling that boy how his shit is from Goodwill, with yo broke ass.

Didn't’t that poor guy become a CEO?

I see people avoid the simplest task.  Just because.  What do you want to do in life?

I see him cheating on her, while she would give her life for you.

What happened to true love?

When I need to cry, I notice all these things.

Unfortunately my tears are spent and I can’t stop to cry for you.
