Staring into starry nights Hands held tight Words masked by smoke and cold But so warm They caress my heart Chasing demons And fears Filling an emptiness So long unattended Can this be? So long awaited... Hiding in fear Yet so unafraid in your arms An unsteady breath escapes As you press your lips To my cheek And I find myself trembling So afraid of the last time... But your warmth beside me Calms all my fears A soft touch wipes away the tears I ignore And I have to wonder... What have I done To deserve something so marvelous?
