When I Rise
When the dew in the morning moistens the grass, I think about days that come and pass.
One things for sure when I open my eyes, I thank God for keeping me when I rise.
Things that I do as I grow an I learn, I fell better when it’s things that I know I’ve earned.
Sometimes you start at the bottom but keep your thoughts on the prize, then you’re sure to progress and you surely will rise.
I know I’ll be productive for as long as I live, an I’ll surely be blessed with all that I give.
So as for me I just look to the skies, and send my praise to Him when I rise.
