When I Saw Your Name

My hand felt a buzz,

I opened my phone

And read what was shown.

My heat was all fuzz,

When I saw your name.

My heart beat rapidly,

I felt like crying.

I felt like flying.

My life was perfect –Practically

When I saw your name.

I eagerly replied, anxious to see

What you would say next,

Daring to hope you’d reply to my text.

I felt like I was stung by a bee,

When I saw your name.

It’s been a couple years now,

Crazy fun, enjoyable years.

Although we have our own careers,

I still feel the same, wow,

When I see your name.
