When I think of you now...
When I think of you now… I remember the games we would play Our backyards becoming new worlds When I think of you now I remember Saturday cartoons Waking up early to pillow fights When I think of you now I listen to your stories of far off places Then wish for just a fleeting moment that I was there with you When I think of you now I hear the sound of power tools Your voice telling me don’t touch When I think of you now I see your laughing face Standing over me in the snow The light in your eyes As you talk about the future The warm inviting smile That greets me at the door When I think of you now I wonder if you think of me With your life full of friends I still see you every so often We talk and laugh like old times But sometimes I see the light is gone Sometimes I call and you don’t respond When I think of you now I wonder Where you have gone
