When I Turn Gray

When I am old, I will be a loving grandmother. With the children that my children will carry Hopefully I can teach them somehting not too vicious About how to love, teach, and to spoil those children as well as possible I shall not act stuck up, Because that's not the way to instruct, Those children on how adults should act. When I am old, Ishall wear casual clothes for my age Not something close fitting or clingy, Not something decollete or backless, Not something baggy or brief, Not something home-spun or itchy, Not something designer or made to measure, Just something off of the rack, Just something prim and ready to wear Maybe something reversible Just sensible, thermal, and maybe even stretchy. When I am old, I shall work until I cannot work anymore. Or until I feel that my retirement will last me I will own my own business; it will be a family business. With my husband, our children and grandchildren All working in a joint efoort like teamwork. When I am old, I will be generous Give to the homeless, and start an organization. To help the ones needed, and not only the burnouts and junkies.
