When I Was A Child

When I was a child,

I thought for awhile,

That babies appear when you marry.

Now I know,

that it ain't so,

There's a long long process you know!

When I was child,

I believed for awhile,

That objects have life too.

When I closed the lights,

and said "goodnight",

I believed they would talk all through the night.

Now I am older,

Wiser and bolder,

To question the things I once thought.

Now I laugh,

And sometimes gasp,

At the things I thought, when I was child.
