When I Was A Child
When time wasn't a worry
But fun was a must
When stress wasn't an issue
"Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust"
Flying around with joy
Imagination running wild
Oh how I miss those days
those days as a child
Things change like the seasons
and grow like trees
I mean I feel it in my back, neck and knees
Yes, this thing called growing up
Happens to the best of us
But I've learned what is love
and what is trust
I learned what is an uh oh
Which is just a mistake
I learned how to contemplate
which risks to take
But most importantly
Laughing is the best medicine
Life and change, gets credited
Me, Myself and I will keep on peddling
Because that's just it
Some things you can't change
Living. Learning. Growing
things that spark the flames
from adolescent rationing
to becoming so mature
From a life full of pictures
to only reading literature
From crooked teeth
to a perfect smile
Oh how I miss those days
those days as a child
