When I Was Wrong

She said she loved me. I never was to be. The false love from before, Had made me feel like I never want to be adored. She thought we would last, As I kept looking to my past. To think of the future made me sick, From it, I thought I would never get a kick. Escaping from life is what I tried, But it was all I could do for time to go by. I had never wanted it to end, Because that was not the message I wanted to send. I'm imperfect, so I thought I didn't deserve you. For the time, you had to think it through. I was the worst and I was wrong, So with me, was not the place you belonged.
