When I was Younger...
As I think of myself as a pperson
I stop and wonder...
Why I can't be the way I was when I was younger?
I was free spirited, without worry
But as I've grown
It brought me to reality
I no longer see life in a childlike way
And I can only hope it'll be okay
Since playing my guitar which brings me peace
I always found that missing part of me
Like lyrics to a song and its melody
That's how I long to feel complete
Some things I'm not good at
Like forgiving and forgetting
All the mistakes and broken promises is simply unsettling
What happens in my life doesn't define who I am
Beacause there's a much bigger plan
I say to myself everytime I'm falling
But "I keep my eyes on the prize of the High Calling"
Every now and then I have that hunger
To be the way I was
When I was younger.
