When I Write
Location
When I write
I free from shackles
a superabundance of energy
that swells within me
stifles
strangles
closes in
pulses through my veins
rattles my bones
endlessly searches for that moment of glory when
pen graces paper
When I write
I write to capture what is
so fleeting
so small
so easily forgotten,
in the silence of the moonlit night
in the quiet of the sun-streaked morning
every letter is a bursting scream into the universe
