When I'm No Longer Yours

90 miles away

for four years

and I think we have drifted apart

It's not our fault

We're at different unis

This was bound to happen

and this was why I wanted to end our friendship in senior year

I became so attached to you

knowing your every move

seeing you every day

Was it unhealthy?

I'm reading your articles now

and realizing I wasn't there for you

when you wanted me to

I should've made time for you

and your writings

I was in a different head space

I hope you don't blame me

6 months later

and now my chance has gone and left

But your writing is beautiful

Melanin fonts dancing across the 0s and 1s on my computer
