When I'm Older
Dad always said,
“When you’re older, you’ll get it.”
“When you’re older, you’ll fall in love.”
“You’ll finally see why things happen.”
“When you’re older, things will work themselves out.”
“When you’re older, you can do it.”
“When you’re older, it’ll be easier.”
“Things happen for a reason right now.
You can change that when you’re older.”
I’m older now, Dad.
The only thing that’s changed is I’m older.
Now what?
