When It Hurts...

You took my heart

And shredded it to pieces

You were my kryptonite

My only weakness

You were the light in my darkest hour

My life of one

Was now ours.

A while ago I divided my heart into two

And I secretly placed half of it inside of you

We will always be in sync

with every beat in my chest

We are internally linked...

July 19th,  “I swear to god I’m about to kill myself” it read

As I sleep unknowingly in my bed

Last night you went too far

Your actions were just bizarre

With every cut

I felt it too

But you couldn’t tell

Your numbed, intoxicated pain

Hurt me like hell

I watched as you digged deeper,

I saw the Slippery Slope of destruction

Getting steeper and steeper

As I pleaded for you to stop

You turned and looked at me

With a stare I never forgot.

Dark and cold

And not the person I knew

And I realized there was nothing I could do

July 19th, “and its all your fault,

I couldn't handle another person abandoning me” it read

As I lay asleep unknowingly in my bed

The cuts you made

I got it twice as bad

Theres no turning back

The deed was done

So I just laid there helplessly

In a pool of our blood

And at that moment

I drifted off into an endless sleep

I carried the promises

You were too weak to keep

I buried them within me

Because thats where our love will forever be

I wrote you this letter

So you can understand

You survived...

Due to half of my heart in your hand

As you can see

You weren’t killing yourself

But in all actuality

you have killed me

July 19th “ I’ll see you in Heaven” it read

As I prepared for death unknowingly in my bed
