when the lights are off
I can sense a presence when the lights are off,
a type of tension that could be cut by a cough.
the darkness isn't all that bad,
even if its a reason to be sad.
for in the darkness we can find light,
the kind that gives hope and makes things right.
I can sense a presence when the lights are off.
one that disappears when I cough,
not a sense of terror,
or a feeling of error,
but a malevolence.
some kind of understanding tolerance.
I can sense a presence when the lights are off. why do I always have to cough?
