When Nothing is Everything
I write because I hurt.
I write because I ache.
I write about all the things I love,
And everything I hate.
I write because it fills my veins;
Adrenaline turned to words.
I write because no one will listen
And I just want to be heard.
I write because the melody
Lulls me back to sleep.
I write because my mind
Is starting to get weak.
I write because I can't remember.
I write because it burns.
I write because without it
I will never learn.
I write because it speaks my mind
Pain turned poetry
I write because it's all I have
And is a part of me.
