When Our Eyes Found Each Other
Across the hum of voices, clink of glass,
In a crowded room where moments pass,
I saw you standing just like a dream,
Not quite real, not quite what it seemed.
Our eyes met—just for a beat,
A silent charge, a pulse so sweet,
Like lightning caught inside a gaze,
Setting fire to a thousand days.
The world around us blurred and bent,
As if time paused, then softly lent
Its breath to that small, sacred space—
Between two souls who dared embrace
A glance that spoke without a word,
A promise waiting to be heard.
I felt a flutter, quick and bright,
A quiet dance of sheer delight,
As if the universe had spun
Its threads to weave us into one.
No words were said, no names exchanged,
But everything was rearranged—
A heartbeat in a crowded room,
The start of something in full bloom.
Your smile, just shy and barely there,
Like sunlight weaving through the air,
And in that moment, I could see
A story waiting, you and me.
From strangers lost in daily tides,
To something that the heart decides
Is more than chance, more than a glance—
A sweet, unspoken circumstance.
So here we are, where sparks once flew,
Where eyes first met, and something new
Was born between the crowded air—
A gentle start, a whispered prayer.
That first spark still lives today,
In every smile along the way,
A quiet flame that softly grew—
The moment I first found you.
