When Poetry eases Pain
It was 2 am when I opened the door.
An old friend had been knocking night long
Her shadowy figure fell on my floor
Array of sad tunes
A distressing song
I told her to leave
And to never show her face
She pursued me now
Angrily matching my pace
I ignored her calls
So many times in the past
She seduced me still
Ignorning my chaste
So there she was standing eye to eye
Melancholy's sweet grin.
Her lustful sigh
And here I was
Shaken
Ready to fight
I was tempted to sin
I was tempted to lie
"Don't fight it"
She whispered
"Let my sorrow embrace you"
"Let this sadness consume you"
"Let this bitter toungue taste you"
"Dont do it"
I cried
"Wait for Hope to fulfill you"
"Wait for Love to carress you"
"Let Happiness rebuild you"
But she never listens
She's always so stubborn
She's blessed with this power
No human could govern
And Melancholy,
I was her only friend
The only equipped
With a hand to lend
Melancholy
She'll get in my head
I'll scream in my sleep
I'll wish I was dead
Then
Cold blood murder
A Vermillion bomb
Splattered red
on my shoulder
a gun in my palm
2 years ago this was how a life would end
before the person saw the simple
beauty
of paper
and pen
