When shadows run

Thu, 04/17/2014 - 18:08 -- kpadron

One morning I glued my eyes onto the car dashboard and stared

At the shadows passing across.

It was early so the sun was rising slowly,

But the shadows moved quickly like liquids.

Rivers and rain and tears flow naturally.

But the river won’t run if it is not chased.

The rain won’t fall if it is not knocked down.

The tears won’t flow if emotions are hidden.

Nobody tries to stop the river or the rain

So why are these kids pretending to have no feelings?

The answer is simple: we kids are idiots.

But whose fault is that?
