When Silence Speaks

when Mother's faces twist and turn
like fierce lua dark frightening, painted warriors

and your hearing the sounds
of a engaging, heavy Hawaiian Pahu Drum
beating only in your head

just to see, there's just you and her
and she's standing over your
soon to be dethrone little crown head
