When Someone Loves You…

Always be loyal and treat me with respect

Because that’s what love is

The last time that I checked

And in turn, I’ll do just the same

Because I love you, so let me just explain

Because I love you,

I’ll be there for you whenever you’re in need

I’ll be honest even when it hurts,

so that the truth is what you see

Because I love you

I’d go out of my way

to bring a smile to your face on a not so happy day

I’d write you a card,

only just because when someone really loves you,

that’s what someone does.

I’d tell you you’re great and even you’re not

Because being open and honest surely does mean a lot

Because I love you, I’d be your very best friend

Because if all else fails, at least we’ll still have that in the very end

All I ask is that you’re good to me.

Because I love you… Can’t you see?
