When survival is a Must
It's about us,
the rain
the front of the stage
the crowd behind you
It's about us,
the birds,
the wind,
your very first friend
you had the day
when
it was the end
It's about us
The sounds,
the mouths,
feeding in restaurants,
the chatter
that taunts the silence,
the laughter
that taunts the violence
It's about us,
When we've left each other
when we've left hurt
when we've left love
when we've left him,
when we've left her
above the standard
It's about us
when we are above the matters
at hand
below
the feeling of the sand
between your feet,
i'm bitting between your teeth,
Aren't i?
because I,
will never mean anything at all,
if i don't trust myself when i say,
If i don't trust...
that in this life,
when survival is a must...
if i don't trust...
...in this life,
It's about us
