When They Preyed, I Prayed
When they preyed, I prayed
But not on my knees,
That position left me too vulnerable
To the predators that be
They had familiar faces,
they were family
They had the power
Were they too blind to see?
I was a fucking baby,
A little bitty girl
The shit wasn’t right
To introduce to my world
But dicks were hard,
They need a release
Didn’t give a damn
I was only going on 3
So when they preyed, I prayed
But not on my knees,
But get ready muthafuckas
It’s my time to break free
The ones there to protect me
Made me do terrible things
Suck this, touch that,
You know what to do,
Bitch c’mon
You been doing this since you were two
Swept away in an illusion of protection
The complete annihilation of my innocence
In my mind I cried the silent tears that I better hide
Don’t let them see you cry, you just may die this time
So, I prayed while they preyed
I prayed.
