when we were younger
Streets were loaded by tins and kids.
Kids loaded for bear,
Kids were laughing and kidding around.
We were once barrel of laugh.
Elders and betters were considered.
Traditions were passed on by the elders of the tribe.
Elders instilled in us a tradition and culture.
Gone are those days where all kids
Would move one side to let one elder pass.
Nowadays it's like our minds have been renewed.
We live from day to day looking for
Our real purposes,
We went pear-shaped.
Respect for elders and betters vanished.
Old life departure passed unnoticed.
Disrespect is too heavy for elders to bear its weight.
Kids grew older and borne their own kids.
The new pattern of living is passed on from generation to generation.
Today streets are loaded by couples.
We no longer play but we cry!
When our elders starts shouting we consider what to do next.
We either form a conclusion or argue.
I'm crying for that spirit!
I'm left with no strength to change this pattern.
I'm crying!
I'm crying for that spirit!
We were once children,
singing our everyday song"the bull is in the calves."
Today we say"life is unpredictable."
I'M CRYING FOR THOSE DAYS!
