when is why

When I'm lost

is why...

I write.

Because sheets are white

to glow and shine light

on a better path than mine.

When I'm angry

is why..I write

a highway escaping life.

for a few moments in time

I scatter thoughts to make room

to make sense of the fury

When I smile

is why...I write

lost in a daydream

as hand and pen dance upon this sheet

each word falls perfectly on its line

waiting for me to revisit them once more.
