When will we all understand the ringing of equality?

There's a constant ringing in my ears and I never understood why.
I watch lives pass by and I never understood why they were walking in that direction.

There's a constant ringing in my ears because everyone is trying to be heard.
I watch lives disappear before my eyes because there's nothing more satisfying than knowing you aren't the only one.

There's a constant ringing in my ears and I can't hear my thoughts.
I watch lives cross one another and feel as if their existence is independent.

There's a constant ringing in my ears but I enjoy the melody.
I watch lives leaves shadows on this earth but never see them question why.

There's a constant ringing in my ears and I'm eager to find silence.
I watch lives and watch lives and watch lives and never find their peace.
