When Words Come Out
It comes
It goes
It always flows.
From the top to the bottom
From middle to end,
Then it starts back over again.
The lights burn up
The streets wear out.
And time won’t stop.
Not for you
Not for me
Not for anybody.
If you stop and listen
You can hear my heart beating.
The thump, thump, thump
The pump, pump, pump.
The blood flows through
The blood flows out.
The screams held in
The whispers shout.
Nothing moves nor makes a scene
And things get blurry until not seen.
The clock grows loud
The town slows down
Windows shatter and I feel the wind.
Peoples voice begin to rise
But no one hears my cries.
Be careful what your mouth let outs,
What you say is always what you mean.
