when you ask me what i'm thinking

Wed, 11/04/2015 - 15:10 -- kpotter

when you ask me what i’m thinking and i outright refuse,

my mind is full of things i could never ask from you:

stop me from stealing, stop me from lying.

keep me away from the nails i’m biting.

hold me to consequence; hold me to you.

tell me you love me; beat me black and blue.

punish me, love, and don’t even know why.

don’t stop when i beg you; don’t stop when i cry.

choke me out, honey; just hold me down;

tell me i’m worthless; leave me to drown.

slice me up, darling; please make me right;

cut me open with a surgical knife.

hurt me for every time i’ve told a lie;

help me out, cameron; please help me die.
