When You Can't Fall Asleep

What happens when you can't fall asleep?

The churning of your mind reflects the stars in the sky outside your window.

Numerous constellations of thought with ideas erupting every moment and

changing from one to the next like unpredicatable twinkling in the galaxies.

Worlds and pathways you never dreamed before spring into existence.

A friend said we are creative because we are made in the image of the one who

created all things.

Oh if only everyone embraced their potential to imagine.

So, what happens when the shining and singing of those muses becomes too bright

and loud for us to rest?

We can envision and form the most beautiful art until we close our eyes and forget

once more.
