When You Dig A Hole

When You dig a hole, where does the dirt go?

And do You dig it fast or do You dig it slow?

In the end, a hole is a hole

But once You are in, it is time to console.

To get out of the hole, here is a clue:

Console the only man in the hole with You.

He knows You best and will be very useful

Because getting out of this hole is extremely crucial.

Talk to the man who has gone through the motions

Of dealing with pain and suffering with emotions.

His fire has died out and his life was a blight

But he’s the only one that can lead You to the light.

You must listen closely for he has grown weary

Of being mistreated all his life; he is dreary.

His words will heal and they will rebuild your shape

Once You listen to the man, You can escape.

You must not hurry, for the man has no urgency

Even though You feel escaping is an emergency.

Suffer through being captive in this hole You have dug

Or your frantic movements will bring more dirt You must lug.

Escaping this hole is no easy feat

But with time and perseverance, it can be beat.

Get out and stay away from the man in the hole

So that he can rot away with this painful parable.

Grab the dirt You dug out and rebuild the ground.

Heal the life You owned that was once unwound.

You now know the answer that people must know:

When You dig a hole, where does the dirt go?
