When You Don't Understand

There's a lot of things that I don't seem to really comprehend

There are so many questions that seem to never end

Senseless acts of evil are everywhere you look

It’s almost like a chapter from a graphic horror book

I can’t even watch the news each day it just gets worse

I turn it off but I’m still left with a heart that really hurts

To tell the truth I’m so exhausted my emotions are a wreck

I just don’t know if I can keep my sanity in check

I shake my head and ask my self Lord how’d we come to this

This world is not a safe place something is a’miss

But then I feel a stirring somewhere deep inside

Causing me to call on God He’s faithful true and tried

Through all the chaos strife and  tragedies He whispers I am here

I’m still on my Throne of Grace please child do not fear

I’m right there with you now take hold of my hand

For I have all the answers when you don’t understand
