When You Love Someone

When you love someone,

It’s easy to tell.

You love their company,

And you never get tired of them.

They give you butterflies,

And they treat you well.

You know you can trust them,

And they can trust you.

You tell them about your day.

You laugh together,

Cry together,

And lean on each other’s shoulders.

You give each other advice

If one of you needs it.

When you love someone,

You’d do anything for them.

You volunteer to do their chores.

You talk to them about everything,

And you share every moment with them.

You share the same ideas,

And see life in similar ways.

You believe the same things,

Or at least, for the most part.

You understand that no one is perfect,

And you don’t expect the other to be.

All you expect is for love and respect,

And that’s all you really need.
