When You Stare

When you stare I look down Because I'm shy. I try to find the courage To have my eyes meet your eyes But I often fail. But when I succeed I realize I love you. It's probably true, That it might be a crush But when I look at you My heart starts to rush. When you stare It looks like you're looking at the most brilliant artwork Of all times At least it looks that way Through my eyes. Maybe I'm wrong But I hope I'm right Because when you stare You bring joy to my life.

Trying to get a scholarship for scholarship. I wrote this poem freshman year of high school. It's definitely not my best writing but it is one of my favorites because it is genuinely how I felt when I first fell in love.
