when you were my lifeline

I realise now,

in hindsight maybe.

That there was a time,

at the hight of our love

That you were my brightest light.

I only see it now, when the nights are cold and my pride is high.

Left on read, ignored at school.

I pushed us to the edge once,

so why was I the only one to fall?

You broke down my walls,

and left my door open.

You walked through the lava in my mind and came out barely singed.

I only see it now, when my blood runs black and laughter in the distance,

That you were my lifeline once.
