whenever i see you, it smells like rain

The first night we kissed,

The sky opened and flooded the streets.

I looked at you and you couldn’t stop smiling.

I see the same smile on your face now,

But I’m not the cause of it.

You give him the same look that you gave me.

I’m not sure if the droplets on my cheeks,

Are from the rain,

Or from my eyes.

And once again,

I’m swept back to that night.

And it smells like rain again.
