Where Am I?

Where am I?

I’m not what you want me to be

At least not today

I just want to know if that’s okay

Connections with a million memories that weren’t there

Forming hollow wishes of what I once was

A wandering spirit still finding its way

Where am I on this open path

Of distant expectations and hopes

None of which I can face up to now

With lost stances and feelings

I’m walking an open road

Where I have never been
