Where are you?

Why can't I see you?
You who were always there before
On the far side of the sun
Or the dark side of the moon
I could find you

Across a fiery sunset
The light of dawn shining on the line
That distant feeling
You would always be there
But I can't see you

Where did you go
That I can no longer follow
Where did you go
That your presence
Can never comfort me again?

Where have you gone?
My anchor, my sun
The center of gravity
That held me in place
In the Universe

WIll I find you?
If I search for a hundred years,
As the depths of the ocean
Search for the shores
Of their final journey
