Where is China?
In map, news, comments, history …. And my hearts– only,
An intimate,intricate linkage,
Not my country,wrong or right,
Neither homeland nor hometown, place of birth– only .
There are no such things as free skies ,
Too big to fall,
Too talented to ignore,
Too strapping to defy.
Alienated by narrow Straits,vast Ocean,
A migratory bird flying across…very far,
How the lighthouse sheds spatter of dim lights,
Decades,hundreds years ,Thereafter….
Rather came to the New Continent,
In pursuit of happiness,
Chirping up openly in sparrow’s nests,
An old crooked Alien ‧
Classmates
Half a century ago, you and I walked through the way
Now reunited and grey
Clouds moving across the other skies
Wild geese missing their flock never flew back
Search for little spare
Pick up the fragmented, residual pieces
Left in memory a bit familiar
The mortal encounter has already rolled over
Whatever glory or richness has held
Whatever Joy or grievance has experienced
Raise another torn flag
Look!
The sky glows with bright, colorful sunset clouds
Come!
My companions reassemble and march out
Thoughtfully
Acknowledging, cherishing, and pitying...
