Where did rap go?

We all talk about instruction, corruption, lyrical dysfunction But what ever happened to the classics? The tracks that inspired the masses The Shadys of the world that revived rap tactics Rap is dead It went off to bed Where did it go though? It's undeniable flow, yo? It's trapped it's head and snapped it's neck in the era of trap instead The atomic warhead Left for dead Where are the classics that represent? How hard a dude gotta go? To revive that classical flow The past is the past yeah I know But are the issues why I rhyme though? Its disaster, education’s miscaptured Learn to type this Literary devices Aren't where the hype is I allude to shit without realizing it I foreshadowed this uselessness I mishandled this cheerful bliss Because they told me it was ignorance But I told them you get different seasoning When you put rhyming and reasoning in the picture, its knowledge It forms a solid That's soluble in the icy hot Cultural melting pot We're preserved to rot Where corruptions taught But lessons are not The battle’s been fought We lost it Intense I know, but at least we fought it Now release the political hypnotics Cause what's next is The tyranny of the show biz Hollywood's gold fist Their attention span of goldfish Now peace is an old wish Accompanied by satirical bliss Although I'm encouraged not to speak, I still leak Unleash my modesty My endless hypocrisy Cause rap still talks to me And I wanna save it Find the man who made it Destroy those who changed it They said it's youthful innocence But in a sense, I'm not tamed by my exuberance So this isn't over, you foolish hooligans I haven't severed ties Because there is no compromise, rap will soon rise We'll see it with youthful eyes And with it will come reggae, R&B, and soul Each playing their own role We don't need that big hit From that lyrical misfit It's closing The window of opportunity, raps immunity, is weak that's why we Can't miss this Cause peace is still an unattainable fantasy on my wishlist And music's a part of it, in stressful times to timeless rap I resort Sometimes I build a lyrical fort To shield me from all the crap they distort My life's been mission abort Now my heart is torn It craves reform An impactful storm When rap’s reborn But i'm willing to sacrifice My bread and rice If it means prosperity, then twice But I've gotten used to the pain It's an annexation like Ukraine Not Crimea, but still I cry me a River Cause these songs are bitter They're bashing at my liver Why can't death be quicker The pains updating like it's twitter All I wanted to know though Is where did rap go? And who killed it, yo?
