Where to Find Happiness

My literature teacher used to ask me stupid things

I hated his class

But he was my favorite teacher.

He asked me where happiness came from,

As if I'd know the true answer

I couldn't come up with one,

Even though he reminded me that I'd fail

If not a simple answer

But the question was not simple,

nor would the answer be

But one day, I told him.

"Bundles of joy come from Boston."

He said that was creative and asked me what it meant

I told him it was the Boston Tea Party

The teas were the bundles

Liberty was the joy

But all it really meant, was that my dogs are Boston Terriers

And they are my happiness.
