Where Has the Intelligence Gone?

where has the intelligence gone?

has blown in the wind to another land?

or like a serpent slithering in the sand?
Can it be in a cave?
hiding from a world
full of rage

can it be grown?
and bear the seed of a
forbidden fruit

for the intelligence of every man
has walked out of his head
in comes thoughts of violence and greed
feeling that this will let him succeed

The intelligence will become a myth
for it fears anger and hate
and violence will become the new society
