Where have you been?

Your little boy is almost all grown up now and you missed the best parts. you missed his shining glories where he was on top of the world and his greatest defeats where he couldn't sink any lower. You gave a half assed effort when you had him and no effort to keep him you lost one of the only good things you brought into this world the only other is his sister who is a whole other topic. you broke both of them and both are still healing but the boy is stronger for it and is determined to never let his little sister get hurt like what you did to her. he may be stronger but you left chinks in the armor the guard he keeps up all the time to keep himself from being hurt the chinks he tries to make small but are the biggest ways to hurt him. you just have to leave him alone. act like he doesn't matter anymore and he is done he is broke all because you decided to leave him you gave a half baked lie that didn't hold water in the end as to why you would just comply. why couldn't you just be straight with me. why couldn't you fight like a man for your children. why? now you wont even talk to them you don't even send a card for their birthdays. this has been going for 8 years strong. he is left to wonder do you still remember him? do you still love him? do you still want him in your life? when it is his birthday do you whisper a happy birthday to him under your breath? do you wish him merry Christmas while you open your presents and go about your day? does a day go by where you still think of him? or are you convincing yourself it was all a bad dream? he talks about the relationships he has had giving him his first broken heart but it was none of that it was you acting like you gave up on him. it was finding out you tore apart a family for a outside relationship with some girl. I have cried for you, bled for you, and put up with a insane amount of crap for you but you never tried enough for me. now where have you been your little boy will being college soon trying to make his dreams happen and you where never there to support his dreams you never where there. now he is crying again wishing he could have a family that never broke off one tree and had to be put onto another even though he loves his family now and they are like his biological family he wishes he never had to be graphed there in the first place he never had to deal with the pain that you caused for him.
