Where He Leads Is Where I Wanna Be
Lately I've been playing hide and seek,
Trying to hide the label of Jesus freak.
That kind of life led me down the wrong path,
Paths leading to devastation.
Running astray of salvation,
Running to everyone except for God,
And not allowing Him to save me.
I don't want to go to hell,
And I doubt that I can save myself.
Why can't I just become a follower of Christ?
Not an actor on stage,
Pretending to be something I'm not.
Because lately I have been acting like wannabee,
But where He leads is where I wanna be.
I don't want to be enslaved by,
ADDICTION,
TEMPTATION,
DEPRESSION,
SELF-HATRED.
Because I wanna be a follower of Christ,
Because He died to give me life,
He traveled through darkness to bring me light,
So I will follow Him.
No matter what my peers think,
No matter who they think I am.
They may wage war against against,
Until I am dead.
And I won't be dead literally but,
FIGURATIVELY,
METAPHORICALLY,
SPIRITUALLY.
But I will forever fight for the things I believe,
For King & Country.
God should be a shield,
And faith should be a sword.
Not to destroy,
But to bring revival,
And show the world that life isn't just survival.
We were made for so much more...
So in every crowd,
I WILL BE WATCHFUL,
STAND FIRM IN THE FAITH,
ACT LIKE MEN AND WOMEN,
BE STRONG,
And above all else,
LET ALL THAT YOU DO BE DONE IN LOVE.
Because we were saved by the blindest love there ever was,
A love that saw through our flaws and gave us grace,
I'll be honest, I don't always stand in faith,
But God took me from my coma and now I am awake.
So remember that a cross set you free,
And please believe,
That we can do all things in Christ who strengthens,
Both you and me.
That is why where He leads is where I wanna be.
