Where I am From

I am from a small city with BIG DREAMS.

I am from lost faith and lost hope.

I am from pot heads and crack feens.

I am from where kids think life’s a joke.

I am from drive-by’s in broad day light.

I am from a city filled with pain

I am from a town who’s trying to make it right.

I am from where there are only a few supporters who really know my name.

I am from the ghetto where youngin’s try to make it out.

I am from good days and bad days.

I am from where your enemies will try hard to take you out.

I am from where a fellow friend got killed 4 days he left for college,

Oh boy, what a sad day.

I am from domestic violence, robbery and homicide.

I am from where the rich overlooks the poor.

I am from where you don’t even want to go outside.

I am from where civillians get blasted in front of corner stores.

I am from where some people don’t want a God, but me, I choose to stay spiritual.

A lot of people don’t want to hear my story, they just say “oh blah, it’s so typical”.

In fact, it may be, but I just wanted to give you a visual.

South Florida/Palm Beach County/Delray Beach, FL is where I’m from. It will change your life; it’s where things gets CRITICAL.
