Where I am

The elastic band
wraps itself around
your wounded self
Ahead of you is
a new road with
too many twists
and turns
You're not sure
if you want to
face it
Then they push
you, make you
fall into place
You end up
exactly where
you're supposed
to be, even if it's
no longer where
you want to stay.
