Where I Came From

Around me You see mostly, nothing. Broken homes, run down lots, and busted windows. I come from a place, some see as fear but what my eyes see is more than dear. I see strength from my past and courage that is sure to last. I see memories of dates engraved, And thoughts of how I once behaved. I see trouble. That still are friends those who would help, even when at wits end I see love, family, and my start. You, may see a town lacking heart. I see where it is I came the place, where one day, will remember my name.
