Where I come from

I come from pictures From Kodak to iPhoto. I am alpha and omega top dog and bottom. I am from hair picks From jello and whipped cream I am from the closet in my parent’s bedroom Dark, lovely and quiet I am from the peace and quiet of my house. To the popping of fire wood on a cold night. I'm from parties and game nights. I am from the rose garden, The prickly thorns that gush out blood From the weeded grass in the back That is filled with porcupines I'm from the bible bashers and the party all-nighters. From "Jesus is lord" and "OMG, I had so much fun last night". I am from big bowls of soup And a Christmas tree up all year ling I’m from the big mouths and hard heads From sit down! To princess! I’m from the Holy Creator Whose book is the guide And the Saturday’s are His I'm from the chili loving Spaniards and From slaves and slave traders. From burritos to chicken to casseroles. I’m from vicious Haitains, From Bulgar wheat and friend bananas Form the day my grandmother passed out To the time my brother turned his back on us And left us all alone I'm from the countless uncomfortable hospital beds and the taste of stale bread late at night. I'm from the smells of butter, syrup and pancakes from children's hospital. I'm from the buzzing of a nebulizer and the beeping of the heart rate monitor. I will always be there from them No matter how difficult or embarrassing they may be Through all the hardships and difficulties We will always be as one I am still a Saintjour and always will be No matter what the dark cave leads me to I'm from these memories. I'm from this future.
