Where I come from....
I come from two different extremes, coddled on a bosom and allowed to fall flat on my face. I come from brutally honest to being shielded by the elements;
From "are you ok honey?" to “get up and be tough!"
At the same time I come from the same place; where determination, motivation and success is expected and embedded in my DNA. I come from both sides of the railroad tracks, where strong love and the importance of family are mirrored in comparison.
I'm from sacrifices and being the main character in a balancing act show, at times struggling to always perform under pressure and hold onto the sanity of a happy child with providers disconnected.

I come from my Dad, where crazy and a little disfuctionality proved to be a recipe for creativity, passion and success. Where the raw truth opened your eyes like a shot of espresso and the unfortunate observation of the wasted energy of youthfulness under stress.
I come from a gang of brothers, a toy of a mess, wrestling, teasing, smelly boys, competition and the pure appreciation and passionate art of a game with a ball.
I was born into a band of brothers where I hold the reigns and encouraged to follow the bond of where I came.
I come from the acceptance of expression, where the value of uniqueness is embraced on the foundation of strong shoulders provided by a father. I come from love.

I come from my Mom, nurtured to be carefree and silly; taught to be sensitive and care for the feelings of others. Where the solitude of conservatism gave me an overwhelming sense of safety and comfort. Where I was taught that laughter was to be a remedy for everything.
I come from granny’s and poppo’s, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, sandy vacations, the frequent friendship of a Disney mouse, tons of alone time with a mother and a brother and the frequent embrace of a strong woman, mother and friend.
I am the first in a line of two sons, born to look out for a mother, never asked to defend; always accepting and embracing the role.
I come from the importance of individuality and from a mother accepted to stand on her own. I come from love.

I am at a place quickly approaching freedom, hesitant to push forward with eyes wide open. I am prepared; I come from solid roots, holding on with a tight grip, unsure of a new adventure alone but excited and confident because of where I’m from.
The shelter I come from has offered security and the many experiences have prepared me for anything that comes my way. Instilled; an imagination to succeed. Expected; the strength and will to achieve. Where I come from has provided a direction and the tools to be a survivor.
I come from a place of my own, inspired and created by real experiences; filtered through my eyes, ears and mind. I’m from a place defined by me; decorated by an imagination uninhibited and enforced by a million dreams to be accomplished.
I come from a place that encourages me to love me.
